I'm a twenty-something woman living in the United States, and it's not a great time to have just graduated with a degree in the liberal arts. I seriously considered going to a culinary institute, but was convinced that a university education would be better for me in the long run. My interest in cooking has not diminished, though, and I find myself at all sorts of ethnic and local food stores trying to find some esoteric ingredient or other.
My other talents include everything from knitting and crocheting to woodworking and changing flat tires. I also love good wine and beer, and have an uncanny knack for picking up a good, cheap wine for dinner parties. I'm a bit of a nerd, I love puns and sarcastic humor.
